2020’s Most Anticipated PC Games

2020 is looking to be a year of some of the best games we’ve seen in ages, and thanks to a new line up of cheaper hardware from companies like AMD, many gamers will have a chance to try out many of the games that will be released over the next year. For those wanting to add a few new anticipated titles to their wish lists, these are the best games coming next year that are worth keeping an eye on.

Doom Eternal

As the de-facto first person shooter that started it all, Doom changed the way gaming was approached and created an entirely new genre for the industry. And while we’ve seen many knock-offs and less than appealing sequels, Doom 2016 proved to be a massive success among fans, who saw it as a return to classic gaming with an updated format. Doom Eternal is the sequel to 2016’s iteration, and from what has been seen in trailers and news pieces, it’s looking to be fast-paced and as violent as its predecessor.

Cyberpunk 2077

Coming off of the massive critical and financial success that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received, Cyberpunk 2077 is looking to be another masterpiece from beloved developer CD Projekt Red. This time, players will find themselves in a futuristic world flush with cybernetics, crime noir, and plenty of action. The game also received praise for its casting, most notably for the addition of Keanu Reeves, who will be playing a central character in the game. Fans can expect the game to be released in April next year.

Halo Infinite

Much like Doom, the Halo franchise completely revolutionised the FPS genre, and it’s first trilogy of games are often hailed as some of the finest of the gaming world. Although Halo 5 was met with mixed reactions from fans, Halo Infinite looks to be a return to form for Microsoft and associated developers, and will be unveiling a brand new engine for the franchise. Fans will be glad to know that Master Chief will be returning as the main playable character, and will be released alongside the new Xbox console that will be hitting the markets sometime next year, and should provide plenty of entertainment, just like the slots online.

Diablo IV

Blizzard has seen a lot of backlash in recent months, notably for their actions regarding the Hong Kong protests. But despite the hate from their fans, the company has announced the newest iteration in their extremely popular Diablo franchise in the form of Diablo IV. While not a lot of information has been released as to what fans can expect from the new game, a recent trailer showcases the same dark, gritty themes that Blizzard followers have grown to love about the IP.

Overwatch 2

Another Blizzard creation, Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the hero shooter that took the gaming world by storm. Overwatch 2 will be released with a number of new features, including a selection of PvE modes that will include story missions and battles against AI. Fans of Overwatch are already familiar with Overwatch’s vast universe, and the new game looks to expand and deepen the beloved characters from the first one.
